14|27 Wines is born from the philosophy of the Greek Symposium. Directly translated as “drink together”, a Symposium was a group of friends – typically between 14 and 27 people – gathering to celebrate or just enjoy each other’s company. With this in mind, we have crafted wines that suit this purpose perfectly; using indigenous Greek varietals, farmed from storied vineyards within Macedonia – the birthplace of the Symposium.
“For sensible [souls] I prepare only three kraters: one for health (which they drink first), the second for love and pleasure, and the third for sleep. After the third one is drained, the wise go home…The fourth krater is not mine anymore – it belongs to bad behavior…”
— Attributed to Dionysos, the Greek God of Wine, in a surviving fragment of the lost play by Eubulus.
